The building is composed of pre-fabricated parts wth wooden panels functioning as the exterior envelope. Bankruptcy of the pre-fabrication company resulted in hiring a new contractor who was assigned to put together the single components.
Linking the terraces of each of the two structures is the bridge, which commands attention all of its own. Consisting of a single tilted stanchion and cables that suspend the walkway, it takes its inspiration from the angles, orientation and axis of the main building to which it leads.
The bridge linking the two buildings consists of a tilted steel frame that is secured in place with steel wires. The actual walk way is suspended from this frame with further steel wires. The angles and extensions creating this bridge were inspired by the main building’s axis and the property orientation.
Having ecological responsibility in mind, the pool eschews chlorine and other chemical cleansers in favor of an ozone filtration system. A wall of folding doors can be opened entirely onto the indoor pool with woodland views to create a single merged space that is as inviting in winter as it is in summer.
The Ground Floor with big open space containing kitchen, dining and living areas as well as an office and swimming pool.
Located on the second floor are three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a study and a generous terrace overlooking the mountain. The entire building is flooded by light via the large window facades.
